El embajador argentino en Israel, Sergio Urribarri, fue convocado para este martes por la Cancillería de Israel para “una conversación aclaratoria”. En términos diplomáticos significa demostrar el malestar del gobierno de Benjamin Netanyahu a la presidencia de Alberto Fernández por respaldar la creación de una comisión investigadora sobre presuntos crímenes de guerra al tratar de defender un estado democrático que era atacado por la organización terrorista Hamas desde la Franja de Gaza.

Pakistán y Palestina solicitaron en las Naciones Unidas (ONU) que se creara la comisión investigadora y Argentina decidió votar a favor. Lo hizo junto a China, Rusia, Cuba, Bolivia y Venezuela. Tomó distancia de Alemania, Francia, Italia que son sus aliados en la negociación con el FMI, y de Brasil y Uruguay, que integran el Mercosur junto a Paraguay.

La decisión geopolítica de Alberto Fernández, que sorprendió a la Casa Blanca y sus socios en Europa, coloca en pie de igualdad institucional a Israel y Hamas. Una simetría legal que contradice la historia de las última décadas en Medio Oriente. Israel es un Estado, mientras que Hamas es una organización terrorista que opera desde Gaza.

El Presidente consideró que la replica de Israel contra Hamas fue asimétrica, y su canciller Felipe Solá evaluó que Gaza se parece a La Matanza y por lo tanto se debe determinar si hubo un exceso en la respuesta israelí a la agresión constante de un grupo fundamentalista que niega el Holocausto y su tragedia ocurrida en el siglo XX.

“No solo votamos a favor de una investigación de la ONU sobre Israel. También votamos a favor de una investigación sobre Hamás. El proyecto es sobre los dos. No sólo sobre Israel”, explicó el canciller a Infobae.

-Israel es un estado de derecho. Hamas es un grupo terrorista. Ahí hay una diferencia: Israel defiende su Estado; Hamas busca la destrucción de Israel. Entonces, ¿no cree que el proyecto de la ONU es asimétrico?

-La presentación fue hecha por Michele Bachelet, como Alta Comisionada de Naciones Unidas, y nosotros tenemos plena confianza en ella. Creemos en sus criterios de política exterior y ecuanimidad.

La posición de Argentina contrasta con la mirada que tienen los principales países de Europa. Alemania y el Reino Unido votaron en contra, mientras que Francia e Italia se abstuvieron. Y estos cuatro países son claves para cerrar con éxito la negociación por la deuda externa con el Club de París y el FMI.

Si se asume que las votaciones en la ONU tienen un correlato con las posiciones geopolíticas en los organismos multilaterales, Argentina ya está pisando un terreno pantanoso que se volverá cada día más inestable por la diplomacia secreta de Israel. Tel Aviv es un socio privilegiado de Estados Unidos en Medio Oriente, y Alemania lideró el voto negativo en contra de Hamas.

Sin embargo, Alberto Fernández considera que no se debe vincular el apoyo a Hamas en la ONU con el respaldo de Estados Unidos y Europa a la negociación con el FMI.

“Antes de votar, yo hablé con todos. Y expliqué nuestra posición diplomática. Nadie me objetó, y todos me entendieron. Por eso, no creo que el voto de la Argentina en la ONU afecte la negociación con el Club de París y el FMI”, explicó el jefe de Estado.
