En una editorial publicada en el medio Cohete a la Luna, el periodista Horacio Verbitsky escribió una columna referida a la reunión entre DAIA y el presidente Alberto Fernández el lunes pasado en Casa Rosada y tuvo una desafortunada frase con el titular de la entidad judía, Jorge Knoblovits.
Verbitsky atacó fuertemente a la DAIA, en general, y a su presidente, Knoblovits, en particular. Además, construyó una frase violenta que generó el repudio por el carácter elitista, rozando con lo discriminatorio.
«Knoblovits sólo representa al club Hacoaj, donde se reúne la reducida pero ostentosa clase alta judía». Ese fue el comentario del periodista, quitándole entidad a quien ganara las elecciones en 2018 con el 66% de los votos.
En su editorial, Verbitsky afirmó: «El canciller (Felipe Sola) y el secretario de Culto, Guillermo Oliveri, participaron del encuentro del presidente Alberto Fernández, quien invitó a conversar a la rama judía de Juntos por el Cambio, encabezada por Jorge Knoblovits, como si representara a algún culto reconocido por el Estado argentino. Knoblovits sólo representa al club Hacoaj, donde se reúne la reducida pero ostentosa clase alta judía. De zapatillas con luz de giro y vacaciones en Miami. Es como si el gobierno confundiera al Papa Francisco con el Chiqui Tapia».

Luego, se explayó en una sumatoria de acusaciones a la figura del mandatario de la DAIA y las posiciones adoptadas durante su gestión como secretario en la presidencia de Julio Schlosser y en la actual.
Mas allá de su versión política, que cada uno puede aceptar o no, calificar de «ostentosa clase alta judía» a los socios de Hacoaj pone de manifiesto un profundo desprecio a socios de una institución e incita a los violentos antisemitas y judeofóbicos.
En el Día del Periodista no le vamos a enseñar a alguien de su trayectoria a cuidar los términos que generan violencia. Salvo que los quiera generar.
