El Ministerio del Interior, que conduce Wado de Pedro, junto a la Embajada de Israel en la Argentina, a cargo de Galit Ronen, y el Consejo Federal de Inversiones (CFI), llevarán a cabo junto a 8 gobernadores y gobernadoras y representantes de otras 2 provincias argentinas una misión técnica de cooperación científico tecnológica en el manejo del agua, entre el 22 y 28 de abril, que incluirá visitas a plantas de desalinización, riego y medición inteligente en distintos puntos de Israel, además de encuentros programados entre la comitiva argentina y funcionarios israelíes.
La misión, que será una de las más importantes en la historia de las relaciones de cooperación e intercambio entre ambos países, contará además con la presencia de otros dos ministros nacionales junto al de Interior: el de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca, Julián Domínguez; y el de Ciencia y Tecnología, Daniel Filmus, junto al titular del CFI, Ignacio Lamothe.
El proyecto de intercambio comenzó a gestarse a partir de los encuentros entre el ministro del Interior y la embajadora en el país, Galit Ronen, quienes dialogaron en varias oportunidades en torno a la experiencia de Israel en administración del agua, proyectos de riego y tecnología, como así también la posibilidad de volcar esa experiencia para potenciar la producción del país.
En paralelo, fruto del diálogo entre el ministro Wado de Pedro y los gobernadores para avanzar en un plan de desarrollo federal, se acordó junto al CFI y mandatarios provinciales esta iniciativa para el 2022 teniendo en cuenta que Israel, durante más de 70 años, ha estado a la vanguardia de la tecnología del agua, desarrollando algunas de las soluciones más poderosas del planeta.
Esa experiencia en zonas desérticas o con escasez de agua presenta particularidades similares a muchas regiones de Argentina. La posibilidad de incorporar este tipo de desarrollo en el uso y administración del agua, permitirá ampliar las zonas de cultivos y potenciar las existentes en zonas de escasos recursos hídricos.
Al respecto, Wado de Pedro, sostuvo que la misión «será muy importante para el desarrollo productivo de muchas áreas de nuestro país, que tienen un muy buen suelo, muy fértil, pero que necesitan seguir aplicando más tecnología, más conocimientos e invertir en riego, buscando soluciones innovadoras». Y agregó: «invertir en tecnología, es hacer de la Argentina ese país que soñamos todos’’.
Por otra parte, señaló que «el campo, en términos de intercambio internacional, es el sector más competitivo de nuestra economía. El Estado debe acompañar su proceso de industrialización y mejora tecnológica. De eso se trata esta misión».
Por su parte la embajadora Galit Ronen expresó: “Esta visita histórica expresa la clara voluntad de ambos países por seguir consolidando sus vínculos de cooperación en áreas estratégicas, como la del manejo del agua».
Subrayó además que «Israel es un país cuyo territorio tiene un elevado porcentaje de zonas desérticas», por lo que «desarrolló a lo largo de su historia mecanismos innovadores y de alto desarrollo tecnológico en miras de suplir la carencia de recursos hídricos”.
“Tenemos mucha expectativa que al momento de compartir las problemáticas y los desafíos que presentan cada una de las diferentes provincias logremos enriquecernos con las experiencias argentinas. Los países mejoran sus posibilidades de intercambio genuino cooperando y compartiendo conocimientos. Los desafíos ambientales son parte de una agenda global cuya única solución esta definida por la cooperación”, finalizó Galit Ronen.

La participación de las provincias representará virtualmente a todas las regiones del país, y estará integrada por los gobernadores Raul Jalil, de Catamarca; Gustavo Bordet, de Entre Ríos; Gildo Insfran, de Formosa; Ricardo Quintela, de La Rioja; Rodolfo Suarez, de Mendoza; Arabela Carreras, de Rio Negro; Sergio Uñac, de San Juan; y Alicia Kirchner de Santa Cruz. A los que se suman ministros en representación de las provincias de Santiago del Estero y La Pampa.
Visitas y actividades
– Encuentros con funcionarios y funcionarias de Israel-
– Visita a la Planta de Desalinización “Granot” de Mekorot. Planta
perteneciente a un proyecto amplio que tiene como objetivo preservar el
acuífero de la costa mediterránea, a través de la extracción de las sales
acumuladas, con capacidad de desalinizar 40 mil metros cúbicos
diarios.
– Visita a Planta “Eshkol” de Mekorot. La planta central
de filtrado en el sitio de Eshkol, la única de su tipo en Israel y la cuarta
más grande del mundo. Esta instalación filtra agua desde el lago
Kineret (Mar de Galilea) en forma diaria
– Visita al Proyecto “Menashe”. Canales para capturar
agua de crecidas de cuatro ríos y que luego es inyectada en el acuífero
para agricultura. Tiene 50 años de antigüedad y sigue funcionando a la
fecha.
– Visita a Netafim, Kibutz Magal. Empresa líder en temas
de riego, fertirriego e invernaderos inteligentes
– Visita a reservorio de abastecimiento de agua para la Agricultura (Sur
del País, . El objetivo es observar todo el proceso completo desde las
plantas de tratamiento y desalinización hasta la utilización del agua en
la producción.
– Visita a Yad Vashem (Jerusalén). Es la institución oficial israelí
constituida en memoria de las víctimas del Holocausto perpetrado por
los nazis contra los judíos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Es el
principal Museo del Holocausto del mundo.
– Visita al Centro Peres para la paz y la Innovación y al Instituto de Ciencias Weizmann (Rehovot) (Jerusalén).
