Yuridia Ruhama Yisraeli (@ yisruhayu), una mujer de la comunidad judía que reside en Oakland, Estados Unidos, describió en su cuenta de Twitter el antisemitismo que le toca vivir en el país.
El escrito inició: “Ser judía en un vecindario donde la gente es casi toda afroamericana no debería ser problema”.
La mujer continuó: “Pero desde el BLM (Black Lives Matter, movimiento de la comunidad afroestadounidense) he visto cada comentario antisemita que da mucho miedo”.
“No niego que haya habido racismo contra los afros en este país, pero no ha sido precisamente por parte nuestra”, agregó @yisruhayu.

Según Yuridia Ruhama Yisraeli, donde vive “hay banderas palestinas por todos lados” y “de vez en cuando se recrudece el antisemitismo”.
El tweet sentenció: “Sea como sea, yo siempre estaré al pie del cañón defendiendo quien soy y luchando por Israel”.
La mujer, en el cierre de su mensaje, aseguró: “No tengo miedo”.

@yisruhayu se define como “judía reformista y sionista religiosa” en su perfil de Twitter, donde su escrito fue viso por más de dos mil personas.
Los datos marcan que desde 2019 se duplicó el número de ataques antisemitas en Estados Unidos y esto, sin dudas, marca el presente de la comunidad judía.
En el 2021 hubo un total de 2.717 ataques de esta índole y fue el más alto desde 1979.
Según la Liga antidifamación (ADL), unas 281 millones de personas creen en algún estereotipo contra las personas de la colectividad. Este número equivale al 85% de los estadounidenses.
Además, la organización aseguró que 66 millones de ciudadanos mantienen “puntos de vista antisemitas profundamente arraigados”.
