El Servicio de Seguridad General (Shabak) de Israel reveló la identidad de los secuestradores de los tres adolescentes israelíes en Cisjordania.
Se llaman Marwan Kawasme y Amar Abu Aysha, y son miembros del grupo terrorista Hamás. Están domiciliados en la ciudad de Hebrón.
Kawasme, de 29 años, que trabajaba como peluquero, fue arrestado anteriormente por actividades vinculadas con Hamás. A los 18 años fue condenado a diez meses de prisión. En 2010, confesó haber sido reclutado, el año anterior, por el ala militar de Hamás y haber recibido entrenamiento militar en las cuevas de la zona.
Abu Aysah, de 32 años, que trabajaba como cerrajero, fue arrestado por primera vez en noviembre de 2005 y puesto bajo el régimen de arresto administrativo hasta junio de 2006. Fue detenido nuevamente por un breve período en abril de 2007.
Ambos están ausentes de sus hogares, en el barrio Hares de Hebrón, desde el mismo día del secuestro, lo que para muchos oficiales de seguridad israelíes y palestinos es una evidencia clara de que están vinculados con el secuestro.
