Guiora Esrubilsky Z´´L

Profunda conmoción en todo el mundo judío y, sobre todo en el movimiento macabeo, por el inesperado fallecimiento de Guiora Esrubilsky, quien murió en la mañana de hoy en Miami tras un paro cardíaco.
Guiora era un reconocido dirigente argentino que presidía Maccabi Mundial desde 2010 y desde la semana pasada también era Vicepresidente del Congreso Judío Mundial.

Reiteradamente reconocía que su judaísmo se lo debía a una pelota de básquet, ya que su padre lo llevó de niño a Bet Am Medinath Israel a practicar esa disciplina y luego terminó dirigiendo ese mundo deportivo y sionista.
El miércoles pasado, Guiora envió una carta a su movimiento y al mundo en general, en la que advirtió sobre el peligro existencial que significa para el Estado de Israel un acuerdo por el programa nuclear iraní, entre Estados Unidos y la República Islámica de Irán. Lo hizo a través de una carta con motivo de la festividad Janucá, la fiesta de las luminarias.
«Este Janucá 5774, tan cercano, trae consigo oscuros nubarrones de verdadero peligro existencial para el Estado de Israel. El mundo libre, encabezado por los Estados Unidos – un permanente y sincero amigo del Estado Judío – se dirige a un arreglo con Irán, el Estado Islamista/terrorista, basado en el “wishful thinking” (el deseo de que Irán “entre en razón”), desechando lo enseñado una y otra vez por esa tiranía islámica: su deseo de poseer una bomba nuclear que acabe con el Estado de Israel y que imponga el  peligro y el terror a todo Occidente – con los misiles iraníes de largo alcance», decía misiva escrita por el director de Macabi Mundial.

«La Unión Mundial Macabi, en el espíritu de libertad de los Macabim, que celebramos en la tan próxima Janucá, nos unimos al reclamo del Gobierno del Estado de Israel en el mantenimiento de las sanciones severas sobre Irán, y el rechazo a un acuerdo que debilite las exigencias de Occidente sobre la tiranía persa y el desmantelamiento de su aparato atómico. Nuestro Movimiento reitera su apoyo incondicional al Gobierno y al Estado de Israel, y suma su voz a todos aquellos hombres y mujeres que reconocen lo tremendamente peligroso que supone que Irán, auspiciante del terror internacional, pueda contar con un arma de exterminio masivo», puntualizó.
