Los Emiratos Árabes le prohibió la entrada a un jugador israelí, Dan Mori, para realizar la pretemporada de invierno con el club holandés Vitesse . El jugador se encuentra entrenando con la reserva del club para no perder el ritmo.
La negación del país árabe habría llegado un día antes de que el plantel viaje para realizar la pre temporada y jugar algunos partidos que ya tenían arreglados con mucha anticipación. La portavoz del club indicó: «Jugamos allí contra equipos que cuentan con nosotros y queremos prepararnos adecuadamente para la segunda mitad de temporada». Al parecer antes de suceda este hecho, el club de la Primera División de Holanda tenía la confirmación que no iba a haber ningún tipo de problemas para que Mori viaje, pero finalmente esto no sucedió.
La Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Holanda no quiso dar declaraciones por este hecho y expresó que la decisión “es un tema principalmente político”. Los que sí se expresaron en contra de esta medida fueron los partidos políticos de ese país, quienes criticaron la decisión del Vitesse de continuar con la pretemporada pese a este hecho.
