Vis a Vis dialogó en exclusiva con Alex Bastus, quien desde hace dos años práctica el footgolf, una mezcla de fútbol y golf. Es tal el compromiso que tiene con este deporte que, en la localidad de Ramallo, el club de dicho lugar le puso su nombre a uno de los hoyos de su cancha principal.
1) ¿Qué es el footgolf?
Es una pasión que empezó en Holanda y posteriormente en Hungría. Luego se fue extendiendo por todo el mundo, ya que hoy se juega en muchísimos países. Es un deporte que empezó a crecer enormemente y es un cable a tierra que mezcla el fútbol con el golf. Se juega en una cancha de golf, con las reglas del golf, pero se usa pelota de fútbol. Todos los que vienen, se apasionan.
2) ¿Hace cuánto comenzó?
Hace cinco años. En el 2013 tuvoun crecimiento tremendo
3) ¿Quiénes son los que juegan al footgolf?
Toda persona que pueda patear una pelota, puede jugar. No hay edad límite. Es un deporte de caballeros, ya que te ponés contento cuando tu rival hace un buen tiro.
Hace treinta años jugué algo parecido. Me enteré que estaba por Sergio Perelman, quien me comentó de qué se trataba, Un viernes me invitó y el lunes siguiente ya me estaba comprando una pelota antes de ir a trabajar. Jugando al footgolf me siento parte de una gran familia. Eso es lo que somos los que jugamos a esto, una familia.
5) ¿ Qué significa para vos que un club como Ramallo Footgolf le haya puesto tu nombre a un hoyo de su cancha?
Es increíble lo que hizo la gente de Ramallo,
como hago para agradecer tanto? Fue muchísimo. Estoy emocionado y el footgolf y
su gente no para de sorprenderme dia a dia. No alcanza con decir gracias. No
supe que decir cuando me enteré. Realmente no creo merecer tanto y estoy muy
agradecido.
5) Hay varios deportistas de la comunidad judía que juegan, ¿no?
Sí, hay bastantes. Sergio Perelman, como te nombré anteriormente, es uno de ellos. También está mi hermano, quien se sumó hace poco y hoy en día vamos y venimos en el día a Pinamar, Gesell, Chivilcoy y varios lugares más para disputar los torneos. Ya se jugaron dos torneos en Hebraica y dos en Hacoaj por el Circuito Nacional. Es un deporte que, además, cuenta con auspicios importantes y reconocidos.
6) ¿Tuvieron reuniones con FACCMA para integrarlo como un deporte más de la Federación?
Sí, tuvimos una reunión. Estamos planificando que este año haya tres torneos para hacer algo en conjunto con la Federación. Se van a hacer torneos organizados por la FACCMA. En Hacoaj y en Hebraica seguro y, quizás, en Mi Refugio y Venado II también.
7) ¿Te imaginás footgolf en las próximas Macabeadas?
Para mi va a ser un hecho. Se van a enganchar todos cuando vengan a jugar. Los que juegan al fútbol o algún otro deporte a la mañana, ésta es una opción para la tarde. Es muy divertido.
8) ¿Qué le dirías a un deportista que no conoce este deporte?
Qu venga a probar algo que seguramente le va a encantar. La va a pasar bien. Pateás la pelota, que es lo que te gusta. Jugás en un lugar hermoso, con mucha tranquilidad, pasto en perfectas condiciones. El que venga, no se va a arrepentir y no se va a querer ir más. No se lo pueden perder. Una vez, un amigo me dijo: «Haber hecho nueve hoyos acá, me sirvió más que diez años de terapia». Con eso te digo todo -entre risas.
