El Canciller Héctor Timerman le dio una entrevista telefónica a la cadena estadounidense CNN en donde el canciller fue tajante al sentenciar que el gobierno nacional no tuvo nada que ver en la muerte del fiscal Alberto Nisman.
En una breve entrevista el canciller sostuvo que tanto él como Cristina Kirchner «esperaban» que Nisman «contestara las preguntas»e interrogantes planteados por la presidenta en relación a la denuncia que presentó el fallecido fiscal.
Ante la pregunta del periodista de sí el gobierno es responsable de la muerte de Nisman, el Timerman sentenció: «No, absolutamente, no. El gobierno de Argentina no estuvo involucrado. Además, nadie quería más que el señor Nisman viviera y contestará las preguntas de la presidenta y yo».
