Uruguay: del 7 al 11 de febrero los Premios del 12º Jewish Film Festival de Punta del Este

La 12º edición del Festival Internacional de Cine Judio de Uruguay FICJU® Punta del Este Jewish Film culminó anoche miércoles 11 con gran éxito y afluencia de público que ha colmado los salones del Hotel Enjoy Conrad Resort Casino de Punta del Este. Israel y Argentina resultaron los países de las películas triunfadoras.

Con la ceremonia de entrega de premios realizada las 22 horas en la Sala Rio de Janeiro, llegó a su fin 12º Festival Internacional de Cine Judío del Uruguay (Ficju), que ha venido desarrollándose con total suceso desde el pasado sábado 7, en Punta del Este.

El público distinguió a la producción israelí La esposa prometida, dirigida por Rama Burshtein como la Mejor Película del Festival – Premio UTE.100 años.

Esta realización que indaga en las vivencias de una joven que pertenece a la comunidad ultra ortodoxa de Tel Aviv, fue el filme que abrió el festival y contó con la presencia de Analía Sánchez, representante de la distribuidora internacional Mirada Films, que ha traído la película a la región. Esta producción confirmó en el festival el suceso que ya ha tenido en todo el mundo, conquistando siete premios Ophir en Israel y el León de Plata a Mejor Actriz en Venecia. Se espera que la película llegue pronto a salas de estreno en nuestro país.

Como Mejor Documental fue premiada la realización Malka, una chica de la Zwi Migdal, estupenda investigación realizada por el cineasta argentino Walter Tejblum, quién estuvo en el festival para presentarla. Esta realización fue producida por Marcelo Céspedes.

La temática femenina dominó el festival ya que como Mejor Corto resulto premiada Raquel: una mujer marcada, realización de Gabriela Bohm sobre mujeres traídas a ejercer la prostitución en Argentina a principios del siglo pasado. La cineasta fue representada por la especialista Myrtha Schalom que recibió en su nombre el premio.

Además de las distinciones a las películas votadas por el público hubo un reconocimiento especial a Sergio Gorzy, Presidente del Comité Israelita del Uruguay, quien además participó en la Mesa redonda: La comunidad hoy, con presencia además del Licenciado David Telias, coordinador de estudios judaicos de la Universidad ORT y de Fabián Schamis Director ejecutivo de CIPEMU, La Comunidad Israelita de Punta del Este y Maldonado local.

Como cierre el público pudo disfrutar de la exhibición de El regreso, excelente producción realizada en Polonia por Adam Zucker y que refleja la experiencia de mujeres que han descubierto su identidad judía ya siendo adultas. El filme es presentado por la Embajada de Polonia como estreno exclusivo para nuestro medio.

El festival ha sido designado de Interés Nacional por la Presidencia de la Republica, también el Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte lo ha decretado de Interés Turístico y el de Educación y Cultura a través de la oficina de ICAU lo instituyó de Interés Cultural, la Intendencia Departamental de Maldonado a través de su Direccion General de Turismo de Interés Turístico. Como así también el Municipio de Punta del Este, Auspician UTE, Aerolineas Argentinas, INCAA de Argentina, Universidad ORT Uruguay, Instituto Goethe, Instituto Italiano de Cultura, AMIA, Museo del Holocausto de Buenos Aires. BeitHalogem de Israel y las embajadas de los países participantes incluidas las de Alemania a través del Instituto Goethe, Argentina, Francia, Israel, Italia y Polonia.
