Decenas de miles de personas están llegando a los complejos turísticos, bosques y parques del país, en medio de las vacaciones de Pésaj.
El cálido clima favorece las actividades al aire libre, y los bosques administrados por el KKL (Keren Kayemet Leisrael) ya reciben a cientos de miles de turistas. El Lago Kineret (Mar de la Galilea), anunció que cerró sus playas debido a la cantidad de gente que llegó.
Con la gran afluencia de viajeros también se produjo una congestión del tráfico. La policía informa continuamente sobre los atascos en distintas rutas para ayudar a despejarlas.
Los sitios populares de la Autoridad de Parques Nacionales son la reserva natural de Ein Gedi, el Parque Nacional de Cesarea, la reserva natural de Ein Feshkha, y el Parque Nacional de Eshkol Gan Hashloshá.
Los sitios populares del KKL son el bosque Biriya y Ein Zeitim, Goren Park, en la Alta Galilea, los bosques de Gilboa, la Reserva de la Biosfera de Ramot Menashé, el bosque Ben Shemen, el bosque de los Mártires, y el bosque Haruvit.
Cientos también participaron en una caminata en el nuevo sendero panorámico en las montañas del bosque Naftalí en los Altos del Golán para ver las flores del lugar.
Los guardabosques del KKL están ofreciendo visitas guiadas gratuitas en el bosque Baram en la Alta Galilea, en el sendero panorámico del Río Habesor y en áreas del Néguev occidental.
Ocho playas del Kineret (Mar de Galilea) fueron cerradas a nuevos visitantes después de alcanzar la plena capacidad. Llegaron a tener cerca de 70.000 visitantes en las riberas del lago.
Muchos de los visitantes trataron de escapar de las altas temperaturas hacia los Altos del Golán, la Galilea superior y la Galilea occidental.
En Haifa, se estima que 10.000 personas asistieron a la 26ª edición del Festival de Teatro Internacional Infantil que ofrece obras de teatro y espectáculos callejeros, ofrecidos por 10 grupos internacionales. Se espera que el festival celebre unos 200 eventos diferentes.
