El conflicto entre los árabes y los judíos se circunscribe exclusivamente dentro del marco político creado por una corriente árabe, que no ha cambiado su opinión desde que las Naciones Unidas decidieron en el año 1947 dividir la Palestina en dos estados: uno árabe y otro judío.
Los integrantes de esa corriente, motivados por el extremo nacionalismo y el antisemitismo de sus dirigentes, no aceptaron un país judío en una Palestina rodeada de países musulmanes. Sus jefes crearon organizaciones adversas a Israel que desde aquel entonces hasta el día de hoy, no cesan de asesinar a israelíes y de provocar con misiles que obligan a Israel a defenderse. Fanatizan a sus hijos y a los hijos de sus subyugados, inculcándoles odio a los israelíes y al sionismo.
Les hacen creer que Israel es un enemigo al que hay que aniquilar, cuando en realidad Israel clama por vivir en paz con sus vecinos a los que podría ofrecer su ayuda en múltiples aspectos. Crean generaciones de terroristas que nada tienen que ver con el resto de la población árabe.
El pueblo árabe quiere vivir en paz como lo quiere el pueblo de Israel. Quiere tener su hogar donde criar a sus hijos. Quiere tener trabajo para mantener a su familia y vivir con honor como lo quiere todo ser normal. Es así como viven los árabes en el territorio de Israel, ejemplo de democracia donde la convivencia entre árabes y judíos es una realidad. Lo prueba la cantidad de farmacéuticos árabes que ejercen su profesión en farmacias particulares y del estado; lo demuestra la gran cantidad de médicos árabes que prestan servicios en los hospitales de Israel, y los obreros árabes que trabajan en hoteles, fábricas o construcciones israelíes.
Las calles, los parques, los negocios, los centros comerciales y los institutos sanitarios, son recorridos por árabes sin que nadie los discrimine o los moleste. Los árabes israelíes tienen sus representantes en el parlamento y forman parte del poder judicial. En mi caso particular, en el edificio de departamentos donde yo vivo, una familia árabe vive en perfecta armonía con el resto de sus vecinos judíos. Cuando estuve hospitalizado por una dolencia de la que felizmente me repuse, trabé una espontánea amistad con el padre de un joven árabe internado.
La población árabe vive en paz dentro del territorio de Israel. En cambio, a causa de las guerras que despóticos dirigentes fuertemente armados provocan, numerosos hogares de árabes por ellos sometidos, inevitablemente son destruidos y sus hijos muertos o malheridos. ¿Porqué? Simplemente porque no soportan que Israel exista en el Medio Oriente. Pero aunque mucho les duela, Israel existe y seguirá existiendo para siempre en la tierra de sus antepasados.
