Por segundo día consecutivo continúa la búsqueda de tres jóvenes israelíes desaparecidos en el Mar de Galilea (Kineret o Lago Tiberiades), que fueron arrastrados aguas adentro por los fuertes vientos.
Las autoridades temen por las vidas de Itamar Ohana, de 19 años, oriundo de Kiriat Shmona, Nachman Itach, de 21 años, de Beitar Illit, y un adolecente de 17 años de Or Akiva.
El hermano de Ohana, Hananel, instó al público a rezar por su hemano: «Estimados amigos, mi querido hermano se ha hundido en el Kineret y aún no ha sido encontrado. Por favor recen para que se salve y regrese a nosotros».
Las autoridades desplegaron numerosos dispositivos de rescate, incluyendo buzos, helicópteros, lanchas de la Autoridad del Kineret y barcazas de pesqueros locales.
Además de soldados de la Guardia de Frontera del Ejército de Defensa de Israel, otros voluntarios se han sumado a los equipos con botes de pesca y kayaks, buscando desesperadamente algún signo de vida. Grupos a caballo también han rastrillado las orillas orientales del lago.
Itach estaba con su novia en un bote inflable durante las vacaciones de la festividad de Pesaj cuando fue arrastrado aguas adentro. Mientras que la joven fue salvada por un civil en una moto náutica, el joven desapareció rápidamente.
