Volkswagen México rompió relaciones con una de sus concesionarias en el país, tras la polémica suscitada en redes sociales. Exhibió en sus instalaciones una fotografía histórica con simbología nazi.

La unidad en México de la alemana Volkswagen finalizó el contrato con una distribuidora local objeto de ira en las redes y de denuncias por parte de organismos de derechos humanos por exponer en sus instalaciones una fotografía decorativa con simbología nazi.

Dicha polémica surgió tras la publicación de unas imágenes del interior de la tienda de Volkswagen, ubicada en el sur de Ciudad de México. Una fotografía en color, colgando de una pared, de un viejo acto del Tercer Reich repleto de banderas con la esvástica.

El fin de semana, el Centro Simon Wiesenthal exigió a Volkswagen México «que cese al concesionario que exhibe símbolos Nazis». La respuesta de la compañía no se hizo esperar.

«La empresa decidió terminar con la relación comercial y de negocios con la distribuidora. Reprobamos tajantemente la exhibición de esas imágenes en sus instalaciones. Un régimen que enfatizó el odio y la discriminación en una época de la historia que afortunadamente quedó atrás», dijo Volkswagen México.

La firma alemana justificó su decisión sobre la controversia, que fue tendencia en redes sociales durante horas, porque tiene «un compromiso con los valores y el respeto al derecho inalienable de las personas por vivir en paz, libres de cualquier manifestación que no respete la integridad y la vida».

El coche más emblemático de la marca Volkswagen, el «escarabajo», «vocho» o «fusca», fue desarrollado en la década de 1930, durante el régimen de Adolf Hitler, como un producto práctico y barato para el pueblo e, incluso, llegó a ser usado con fines militares. En esa época era común ver publicidades del vehículo con simbología nazi.

La compañía germana posee en el estado sureño mexicano Puebla una de sus mayores plantas en el mundo, que emplea a cerca de 100,000 del casi millón de trabajadores del sector automotor en el país.

    on this, suppose you composed a catchier post title? I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, however what if
    you added a post title that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Volkswagen rompe relaciones con la concesionaria
    que exhibió un cuadro nazi is kinda vanilla. You could look at Yahoo’s
    front page and see how they write post titles to get
    viewers interested. You might add a video or
    a picture or two to grab people interested about everything’ve written. Just my opinion, it would bring your website a little bit more interesting.
