En una decisión que sentó un precedente para el Parlamento noruego, se resolvió reducir la ayuda destinada a la Autoridad Palestina en casi 3.500.000 dólares debido al contenido antisemita y a los llamados a la violencia en los libros de texto de su sistema educativo.

El Parlamento noruego aprobó hoy (miércoles) una decisión que sentó un precedente para recortar 30 millones de coronas noruegas (casi 3 millones y medio de dólares) del presupuesto de ayuda a la Autoridad Palestina.
La resolución se tomó debido al contenido plagado de antisemitismo e incitación a la violencia que aparece en en los nuevos libros de texto palestinos. Es lo presentado para el año escolar 2020-2021.
La decisión parlamentaria se tomó después de una extensa campaña llevada a cabo el mes pasado por parte del Instituto de Política e Investigación IMPACT-se.
Se realizó en una serie de sesiones informativas para parlamentarios de Noruega y el Comité de Asuntos Exteriores y Defensa y el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de ese país. El reporte muestra que a pesar de las promesas expresadas por las autoridades, no se realizaron cambios respecto del contenido de los libros de texto.

Según el instituto, los libros todavía incluyen incitación a la violencia, antisemitismo, la glorificación del terrorismo y la promoción de la yihad. Incluso en libros de ciencias y matemáticas.
El idioma árabe se aprende a través de una historia que glorifica los atentados suicidas. Además se legitima la masacre de atletas olímpicos israelíes en Múnich, la suma y la resta se enseñan contando a los “mártires” (aquellos que murieron llevando a cabo ataques contra judíos). La yihad se describe como «la mayor virtud». La teoría de la gravedad de Newton se enseña mediante el uso de resorteras para arrojar piedras y a través de una historia sobre un israelí que dispara contra automóviles palestinos en movimiento.
El director general del Instituto IMPACT-se, Marcus Sheff, saludó la medida. “En diciembre pasado, el Parlamento noruego votó para congelar los fondos de ayuda a los palestinos hasta que se realicen cambios en los libros de texto. Este cambio no ocurrió. Este año, el Parlamento ha demostrado una vez más su responsabilidad al apoyar los recortes en el presupuesto de asistencia a la Autoridad Palestina.
Los legisladores noruegos ya no aceptan promesas de Ramallah sobre mejoras en los libros de texto. Hasta que se elimine el odio y la incitación en los libros de texto palestinos, la Unión Europea y los países europeos deben prestar atención al liderazgo de Noruega en este asunto y dejar de ser cómplices de la incitación a la violencia enseñada a diario a los niños palestinos en las escuelas y del vergonzoso abuso del dinero de sus contribuyentes», manifestó.
El subdirector del instituto, Arik Agassi, agregó que «después de un trabajo discreto y eficaz el mes pasado con parlamentarios específicos, incluidos los de los partidos de izquierda, que negociaron con el gobierno el presupuesto de 2021, logramos poner en agenda el financiamiento de larga data para la incitación palestina. Es un mensaje claro a la Autoridad Palestina de que la incitación en los libros de texto no puede continuar”.
«El plan de estudios está lleno de odio y glorifica el ‘martirio’»
El parlamentario noruego Himanshu Gulati, del Partido del Progreso, explicó que «debemos establecer un estándar moral. Estamos empezando a hacerlo ahora, recortando la ayuda a los palestinos y aclarando lo que está bien y lo que está mal. Ni una sola corona debe ir a la educación palestina hasta que se aclare el asunto y dejen de educar en el odio. A los niños se les debe brindar educación, no odio. Lamento que nos haya tomado tantos años tomar medidas estrictas contra esto. Es muy bueno que esté sucediendo ahora».
También se expresó el miembro del Comité de Defensa y Asuntos Exteriores de Noruega, Geir Toskedal. «Hace mucho que nos sentimos incómodos con los libros de texto y los planes de estudio en los territorios palestinos. Es muy importante que la escuela se enfoque en la paz y la cooperación».
