Reporte de la pandemia
Así como gran parte del país, la comunidad en México está en semáforo amarillo. Esto significa una vuelta paulatina a las actividades normales de la población. Un análisis desde marzo del 2020 demuestra que el grupo 18-30 años fue el más afectado en cuanto a contagios. El Comité Central de la Comunidad Judía de México pidió a las personas vacunadas registrarse en su página para ver el avance de la vacunación en la comunidad.
Conflicto Israel – Hamás
Fueron 11 días de la operación Guardián de los Muros en Israel, marcada por una contienda entre Israel y Hamás. En México, según el embajador de Israel, Zvi Tal, la reacción nacional de la prensa fue bastante equilibrada. La embajada declaró haber tenido acceso a todos los medios, incluso a los más críticos de Israel. Pero, en palabras de Tal, las redes sociales fueron sumamente agresivas. Tweets ofensivos dirigidos al mismo embajador y a Israel con comparaciones con el régimen nazi, entre otras manifestaciones hostiles.
Manifestaciones
Hubo al menos tres manifestaciones pro palestinas y dos manifestaciones pro Israel (una de ellas frente a la embajada de Israel realizada por la Embajada Cristiana Internacional Jerusalén – ICEJ – y la otra fue una manifestación de oración que contó con 7000 personas).
Crecimiento en el alcance
Dentro de esta ronda de hostilidades Hamás – Israel, Enlace Judío marcó un aumento sustantivo en sus números de alcance. Sus seguidores apoyaron incondicionalmente las acciones del ejército israelí en esta contienda y muchos quisieron participar, incluso con donativos, siendo remitidos a campañas de Keren Kayemet LeIsrael y Keren Hayesod.
Hackeo
Un portal de Torá de la comunidad mexicana, TuTorah TV, fue hackeado por islamistas antes de empezar la contienda.
Elecciones nacionales
Sobre las elecciones que México celebrará el 6 de junio, en las que se elegirán gobernaturas, jefaturas de gobierno de la Ciudad de México, congresos locales, ayuntamientos, juntas municipales y alcaldías, el Comité Central cedió a la tarea de entrevistar a todos los candidatos que mostraban interés en acercarse a la colectividad.
