Un equipo de expertos del Ministerio de Salud de Israel viajará a Filipinas para ayudar en los esfuerzos de vacunación de ese país contra el Covid.

Carlito Gálvez Jr., jefe de la Fuerza Nacional filipina contra el coronavirus y zar de las vacunas, afirmó que el 20 de junio viajan tres expertos.

A su vez, calificó la campaña de vacunación de Israel de “muy exitosa” y dijo que el gobierno de Filipinas está tratando de “adoptar las intervenciones israelíes para aumentar la aceptación del público, que consiste en proporcionar incentivos para los receptores de la vacuna y restricciones para aquellos que aún no se vacunan contra el covid”.

Cuando Israel lanzó por primera vez su campaña, los israelíes vacunados recibieron un pase verde: acceso a actividades culturales, de ocio, etc.

Recientemente, el programa de pases verdes se canceló ya que más de 5,4 millones de israelíes se vacunaron. Además, la tasa de infección diaria del país es inferior a 10 personas. Por otra parte, hace casi un mes que los israelíes no tienen obligación de utilizar barbijos al aire libre.

El domingo, el ministro de Salud, Yuli Edelstein, dijo que es probable que se levante la obligación de llevar mascarilla en el interior la próxima semana si la tasa de infección se mantiene estable.

Ante esto, el Departamento de Turismo de Filipinas propuso establecer un “carril verde” para facilitar la entrada de viajeros extranjeros que estén vacunados.

“Debemos seguir el ritmo de nuestros vecinos y del resto del mundo en la reapertura lenta de nuestros destinos turísticos. Debemos estar preparados para los visitantes cuando el mundo entero esté listo para volver a viajar con seguridad”, concluyó la secretaria de Turismo.
