Rafael Advanced Defense Systems presentó un nuevo misil de precisión, el Seabreaker. Se puede lanzar desde barcos en el mar o lanzadores terrestres y alcanzar objetivos a una distancia de hasta 300 kilómetros.

El misil de quinta generación se puede lanzar desde el mar o desde tierra y alcanzar objetivos a 300 km de distancia con precisión.

Llamado “Seabreaker“, el misil es una unidad naval y de artillería “multiplicador de fuerza, diseñado para superar los desafíos de la arena de la guerra moderna”, dijo Rafael en un comunicado, según publicó Enlace Judío.

El misil de cuatro metros de largo pesa menos de 400 kilogramos y vuela a altas velocidades subsónicas hacia su objetivo. Con funciones de localización por infrarrojos y reconocimiento automático de objetivos, se puede lanzar tanto de día como de noche y en todas las condiciones meteorológicas.

“Es inteligente y directo”, dijo un alto funcionario de Rafael a los periodistas el martes, y agregó que el Seabreaker reúne todas las capacidades de la compañía israelí en un misil de precisión de quinta generación.

Con un buscador avanzado de IIR (Imaging Infra-Red), el Seabreaker puede atacar objetivos tanto marítimos como terrestres en arenas avanzadas de anti-acceso o denegación de área. Puede alcanzar objetivos en el litoral o en aguas marrones, incluidos los archipiélagos. También alcanzar objetivos donde la “generación anterior de misiles buscadores de RF no son efectivos”, dijo Rafael.

El Seabreaker puede maniobrar y esquivar obstáculos mientras vuela en el terreno siguiendo un vuelo de bajo nivel sobre el suelo o rozando el mar, por debajo de las altitudes del radar de defensa aérea enemigo. Con buscadores electroópticos de última generación con algoritmos únicos de coincidencia de escenas, guía de navegación y técnicas de búsqueda, el Seabreaker puede cumplir misiones operativas sin GPS y con un daño colateral mínimo.

El misil puede adquirir y rastrear objetivos automáticamente. Esto es mediante el uso de inteligencia artificial y otras tecnologías avanzadas. Tales como el aprendizaje profundo y la combinación de escenas basada en big data.

También tiene un sistema de soporte de enlace de datos que permite al operador tomar decisiones y actualizaciones tácticas.

El misil de ataque quirúrgico se puede operar en arenas sin GPS, es inmune a las contramedidas electrónicas (ECM) y es resistente a los atascos. El Seabreaker también tiene una capacidad de aborto en pleno vuelo y una evaluación de daños de batalla para que los operadores vean el objetivo después de disparar el misil.

“Es una misión eficaz”, dijo el funcionario, y agregó que puede atacar objetivos “cuando quiera, como quiera y desde donde quiera”.
