La Marcha de las Piedras-y-la-tradicion-judia

Ciudadanos autoconvocados por redes sociales realizaron este lunes frente a Casa Rosada y la Quinta de Olivos una movilización denominada “Marcha de las piedras” para recordar a los 109.105 mil muertos por coronavirus en el país.

La práctica de poner piedras sobre las sepulturas está basada en una tradición judía. La mayoría de las tumbas de los cementerios judíos tienen piedras encima. Los visitantes judíos dejan piedras cada vez que visitan el lugar de entierro de un ser querido. Además, los orígenes de esta tradición van desde lo simbólico hasta lo supersticioso.

En tiempos antiguos, los judíos enterraban a sus muertos debajo de marcadores hechos de piedras juntas. Poner una piedra en una tumba contribuía simbólicamente a la tumba. Para algunas personas, poner una piedra sobre una tumba es igual al gesto de llevar flores con la diferencia que la piedra se mantiene y la flor se marchita. Finalmente, el poner una piedra es un tributo al muerto y deja la marca de la visita de alguien.

Además la piedra tiene la particularidad de ser una creación muy antigua y de vida muy larga, podríamos llegar a decir que la piedra es “eterna” en cierto modo, esto refleja un poco la visión del judaísmo frente a la muerte, cuando nosotros nos enfrentamos a la muerte sabemos que el alma sigue existiendo y lo único que se fue es el cuerpo. El alma es eterna, la flor tiene corta vida y rápidamente se marchita demostrando justamente lo contrario la fragilidad del cuerpo.

La piedra es considerada un símbolo de respeto hacia el difunto porque mantiene vivo el recuerdo de la persona y muestra que el lugar ha sido visitado. En tiempos bíblicos los sepulcros eran señalados mediante una pila de piedras.

Los ciudadanos argentinos homenajearon a los muertos por el Covid. Lo hicieron de la manera que indica la tradición judía: dejando una piedra por cada uno de los fallecidos. Para recordarlos y que ese recuerdo no se marchite nunca.
