La Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas (DAIA) convocó para este martes a todas sus afiliadas a una reunión extraordinaria para decidir si va a apelar o no el fallo del Tribunal Oral en lo Criminal Federal N° 8 (TOF 8) que sobreseyó a la vicepresidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner y a otros funcionarios y allegados a su gobierno.

El día 7 de octubre se conoció el fallo y rápidamente el presidente de la DAIA, Jorge Knoblovits, declaró no estar de acuerdo con la resolución y convocó a una reunión con los representantes de las instituciones afiliadas para conocer su posición.

Esta situación generó preocupación y repudio en algunos sectores que ven al plenario como la búsqueda de consensos para no apelar.

La semana pasada estuvo plagada de reuniones internas, ya que dentro de las mismas instituciones o agrupaciones comunitarias hay opiniones divididas.

Representantes de instituciones y dirigentes particulares le dijeron a Knoblovits que lo mejor era no apelar. También algunos juristas. De hecho, algunas declaraciones posteriores del mandatario dejaron la puerta abierta por donde se podían filtrar las dudas. No dijo ni sí ni no y eso despertó rumores.

Por otra parte, se manifestaron distintas cartas públicas que le pedían a la DAIA que apele. Entre ellas, la del Comité Federal, Fundación Judaica, intelectuales y periodistas judíos, Pilar Rahola y una gran parte de la comunidad judía argentina.

Desde mediados de la semana pasada hasta hoy pasaron muchísimas cosas. Según pudo averiguar Vis á Vis, la gran mayoría de las instituciones apoyarían el pensamiento que hoy prima en la Comisión Directiva (CD) de la DAIA: apelar el fallo y acompañar a los familiares de las víctimas de AMIA.

Por su parte, la resolución se tomaría el miércoles a la noche en reunión de CD luego de escuchar el martes la postura de sus afiliadas.

La DAIA no comunicó nunca su decisión y siempre optó por escuchar y decidir en base al diálogo con los representantes de las instituciones adheridas. Aunque, puertas adentro, pero no por unanimidad, los dirigentes de la entidad tendrían decidido apelar.

Además, para sus dirigentes es importante contar con el apoyo del Bloque Unido Religioso (BUR), ya que desde la agrupación le aseguraron que la coalición de la próxima CD, que fue confirmada la semana pasada ante la falta de oponentes, no se romperá por esta decisión.

La DAIA sabe que la decisión de apelar o no es mucho más política que jurídica. El respeto a las 85 víctimas y sus familiares es un eje central que se discutió en las últimas reuniones.

Knoblovits y su dirigencia también saben que esta decisión es crucial y pueden salir fortalecidos o muy debilitados en el comienzo de su gestión, según la decisión que tomen.

Los dirigentes de la DAIA buscarán apelar para que el juicio se realice y sean los jueces quienes determinen si son culpables o inocentes.

Todo indica que la entidad apelará y la gran mayoría de la comunidad judía argentina y sus instituciones se van a alinear públicamente detrás, acompañando y agradeciendo la decisión.

La historia contará después el resultado y no habrá dirigencia que el día de mañana se tenga que arrepentir de no haberlo intentado.
