Sergio Pikholtz: “Hoy podemos decir que la misión en la OSA fue cumplida”

La Organización Sionista Argentina (OSA) llevará a cabo el jueves la Asamblea General Ordinaria para la renovación de autoridades. Ese día finaliza el mandato de Sergio Pikholtz, quien asumirá como vicepresidente 2° de la DAIA luego de cinco años al frente de la OSA.

En una entrevista con Vis á Vis, Pikholtz realizó un breve balance de su gestión, cómo inició su mandato y cómo lo finaliza; también habló sobre la grieta en la comunidad judía y los tiempos que vienen siendo parte en la nueva conducción de la DAIA.

Efectivamente, sigo pensando igual. En aquel momento, hace unos meses, hubo consenso para esperar condiciones propicias y llevar adelante una asamblea presencial, por eso postergamos la decisión.

Si bien sigue siendo  imposible hacer la asamblea  presencial, convocamos de acuerdo a lo que reglamenta la IGJ (organismo de aplicación para sociedades civiles) y la haremos de modo virtual.

Mi deseo, y creo que el de la mayoría de los asociados y partidos políticos sionistas que conforman la Organización Sionista Argentina, es el de alcanzar consenso y acordar una lista única y representativa. Sabemos que un sector minoritario no acuerda con la nueva conformación de la Comisión Directiva, y es por ello que tal vez la asamblea deba solicitar a la CD a que convoque a elecciones tan pronto sea posible. En tal caso asumirá la presidencia el vicepresidente Demián Stratievsky ya que yo, al pasar a formar parte del ejecutivo de DAIA, voy a dar por finalizado mi mandato.

Ya hace muchos años la OSA acuerda su conducción y sería ideal continuar en la misma línea. Sin embargo, dirimir la conducción en las urnas puede ser una gran oportunidad de desarrollo hacia el futuro pensando en términos de representatividad real del abanico sionista.

  • ¿Qué reflexión hacés sobre la gestión que encabezaste ?

Considero que sacamos a la OSA de un lugar secundario y la convertimos en la organización central que nunca debió dejar de ser.

Logramos la mayor parte de los objetivos que nos propusimos llevando a cabo un proceso de reingeniería institucional con el apoyo del Departamento para la Diáspora de la Organización Sionista Mundial, y su presidenta, Gusti Yehoshua Braverman (actualmente al frente del Departamento Irgún), con quien en largas horas de intercambio decidimos que el desafío valía la pena.

Preguntamos a la comunidad, con un sistema de encuestas que reflejaran todo el abanico de personas que la componen, qué opinaban de la OSA, si conocían algo del trabajo que se hacía, incluso si sabían para qué servía. Las respuestas fueron decepcionantes. Lo que recibimos como devolución era el reflejo de la pérdida de la centralidad de la Federación en la vida judía de nuestro país. Ahí radicó la decepción.

También preguntamos qué esperarían de una OSA moderna y que respondiera a las demandas de estos tiempos.

Nos pidieron mayor presencia en el interior del país, edición de material educativo, formación para jóvenes en Hasbará, orden institucional y equilibrio económico porque no era admisible que la OSA tuviera que ser una carga para el resto de la comunidad.

Cinco años después, estos y otros aspectos fueron puestos en marcha hasta llegar a hoy, donde podemos decir que la misión fue cumplida.

  • ¿Cómo estaba la OSA cuando asumiste y cómo está hoy?

Encontramos una OSA vacía de recursos y de contenidos, y hoy tenemos una OSA vibrante, central, relevante y, por sobre todo, con un enorme potencial de desarrollo porque no es que ya está todo hecho.

Al asumir, la CD atravesaba un quiebre complejo y el pasivo y las deudas alcanzaban el equivalente a un presupuesto y medio anual.

Los vínculos con la OSM estaban congelados y la OSA ya no era reconocida por la comunidad como una institución central y necesaria.

Estaba inmersa en conflictos económicos y con una gestión política devaluada (de la que todos los factores políticos fuimos responsables), que la llevó prácticamente a su desaparición, incluso con las comunidades del interior a punto de formar una nueva federación sionista.

Luego de dos mandatos, la OSA no tiene deudas de ningún tipo, cuenta con un presupuesto operativo asegurado por varios meses y también tiene un financiamiento asegurado por un tiempo importante.

Y en este contexto, la OSA estuvo presente en muchísimas actividades de relevancia. Fuimos invitados a la asunción del presidente Alberto Fernández y formamos parte del comité de bienvenida en AMIA al primer ministro Benjamin Netanyahu, entre otros eventos de importancia.

El próximo presidente tiene dos años por delante donde su preocupación exclusiva será potenciar el trabajo federativo.

Aún con todo esto, sentimos que estamos a mitad de camino y que queda una buena parte de la comunidad a la cual llegar con nuestras propuestas.

  • ¿Qué balance hacés del trabajo de estos años?

Hicimos mucho: apoyamos actividades juveniles, las auspiciamos y aportamos recursos a las mismas haciendo cinco seminarios sobre hasbará y diplomacia pública.

Gracias al superávit operativo, destinamos subsidios de hasta u$s 5000 a los movimientos juveniles.

Creamos durante el mandato el Comité Federal de OSA, con la totalidad de las provincias sumadas y poniendo en valor nuestras propuestas en pueblos y ciudades de toda la Argentina.

Desarrollamos más de 200 ulpanim de hebreo durante cinco años junto al Departamento de Promoción de la Aliá de la OSM.

Editamos libros, piezas audiovisuales y realizamos más de 200 actividades virtuales durante la pandemia, que en el caso de las celebraciones de Iom Haatzmaut o Iom Ierushalaim tuvieron hasta 35000 asistentes.

No obstante, son los usufructuarios de la Organización Sionista Argentina en definitiva quienes podrán evaluar mejor nuestra gestión.

  • ¿Crees que cambió el posicionamiento de la OSA en los últimos años tanto a nivel comunitario como nacional?

Pienso que sí. La OSA tiene presencia en medios e instituciones por su actividad incansable y es referencia también cuando se habla de antisionismo y antiisraelismo en redes y portales informativos.

Participamos de decenas de entrevistas en la prensa escrita, radio y TV. Nos convertimos en referentes de opinión en ese sentido.

Este posicionamiento ha sido sostenido en el liderazgo que venimos llevando adelante por cinco años.

  • ¿Cuál es tu visión acerca del futuro de la comunidad judía argentina?

Preocupante. En cierto modo, la grieta política también nos atraviesa y los dirigentes muchas veces no somos capaces de actuar construyendo puentes. Es una preocupación permanente la que tengo respecto a no perder el foco de nuestra misión; construir identidad judía y sionista y evitar el lugar común de la confrontación por la confrontación misma.

Hay mucho por hacer, entre otras cosas lograr que más familias judías se integren a la red escolar comunitaria.

  • Asumís como vicepresidente 2° de la DAIA, ¿cuáles son tus expectativas?

Estoy muy contento. La DAIA es un objetivo aspiracional para quienes transitamos el camino de la dirigencia comunitaria, y en ese contexto me integro a trabajar entre otras cosas en acción política con un objetivo prioritario: lograr los máximos consensos en la lucha contra el antisemitismo e intentar que el combate contra la judeofobia en particular, y otras discriminaciones en general, sean tomadas como “políticas de estado” en los distintos estamentos gubernamentales.

Considero que podré sumar mis puntos de vista y experiencia comunitaria -llevo más de 20 como askan- a la conducción liderada por Jorge Knoblovits, que ya viene con tres años de gestión eficaz y a la cual llego para construir.

Creo que hay mucho por hacer desde DAIA, y estoy convencido que podré realizar un aporte significativo a la institución.

  • ¿Cuál es tu reflexión sobre la reciente decisión de apelar el fallo de sobreseimiento en la Causa del Memorándum con Irán?

Es público que siempre he adherido a la idea de apelar el fallo y extremar los esfuerzos para llevar la causa a juicio oral. En ese sentido, pienso que la actual conducción de DAIA tomó el camino correcto. Primero con el ejercicio de la escucha (en la reunión con los representantes de las adheridas) y luego decidiendo apelar en Comisión Directiva con el voto casi unánime de sus miembros.

Me sumo entonces a una DAIA fortalecida por el paso dado, ya que definitivamente guarda relación con la expectativa de la calle judía.

Estoy seguro además que quienes cuestionan pretendidas adhesiones partidarias de DAIA son quienes en verdad militan cuestiones políticas extracomunitarias.

La causa en la cual yo sigo militando es la causa del pueblo judío que es la que misma que la DAIA sostiene, tal como lo demuestran los hechos.
