Hamás está reclutando intencionadamente a niños árabes-israelíes que tienen un progenitor nacido en Israel y otro en Gaza o en una zona bajo control de la Autoridad Palestina (AP), informó Israel Hayom.
Según un documento interno de la Shabak (Agencia de Seguridad de Israel) presentado al gobierno israelí, estos árabes son reclutados para llevar a cabo actividades terroristas y de inteligencia. En algunos casos, se les recluta mientras visitan a su familia en Gaza. Se aprovechan de sus sentimientos de identificación con los gazatíes ante las tensiones de seguridad.
Los datos examinan una lista de actividades terroristas de la AP dentro de Israel antes de 1967, que tuvieron lugar en 2020 y hasta mayo de 2021, informó Israel Noticias.
Estas actividades incluían actos reales de terror o de recopilación de información para Hamás. A veces se llevaron a cabo durante las rondas de combates con la organización terrorista.
Las actividades incluían el uso de armas -tanto de fuego como de otro tipo- así como la recopilación de información sobre las actividades de las FDI y el movimiento de sus fuerzas. Además, Hamás exigía a estos jóvenes que informaran de dónde caían los cohetes dentro de Israel. En algunos casos, los ataques terroristas se llevaron a cabo.

Los ciudadanos israelíes alistados vivían, entre otros lugares, en Rehovot, Lod y asentamientos beduinos del Negev.
Entre la segunda generación procedente de las reagrupaciones familiares, existe una disposición a renunciar a las ventajas que ofrece vivir en Israel frente a vivir en Gaza. El análisis del Shabak descubrió que la segunda generación suele tener una identidad dividida. Esto es porque se identifican como israelíes y al mismo tiempo se identifican con sus familias en Gaza.
Esta complejidad hace que algunos de ellos actúen en nombre de Hamás, más que los árabes que tienen dos padres israelíes.
Estos datos coinciden con 12 incidentes ocurridos en la última década en los que descendientes de reagrupaciones familiares participaron en atentados terroristas. Tanto como cómplices o terroristas. Entre otros, un terrorista cuya madre es de Gaza asesinó al soldado de las FDI Ron Kokia en 2017 cerca de Be’er Sheva.
Un residente de Deir al Balah que tiene la ciudadanía israelí fue alistado como terrorista a la infraestructura de la Yihad Islámica. Lo hicieron con el fin de llevar a cabo un ataque terrorista en un salón de eventos y secuestrar a un soldado.
