Las fuerzas de seguridad israelíes (FDI) que operaban en Cisjordania abatieron a tres terroristas palestinos armados.
Los informes indican que son responsables de los recientes ataques con disparos contra soldados y civiles israelíes.
“Se eliminó una célula terrorista del área de Naplusa. La célula es responsable de una serie de ataques con disparos en la zona contra las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel y civiles israelíes en las últimas semanas”, dijeron el servicio de seguridad Shin Bet, el ejército y la Policía Fronteriza en un comunicado conjunto.
Las tropas israelíes rara vez realizan este tipo de operaciones a plena luz del día dentro de las principales ciudades palestinas. Aún más inusual, los terroristas pertenecían a las Brigadas de los Mártires de Al-Aqsa, una coalición de grupos armados asociados con el partido gobernante Fatah de la Autoridad Palestina.
Según medios palestinos, las Brigadas de los Mártires de Al-Aqsa prometieron venganza por la muerte de sus miembros.
“La sangre de [nuestros] mártires no se desperdiciará, y la respuesta llegará, si Dios quiere. Y la sangre se encontrará con sangre”, expresó el grupo terrorista en un comunicado.

En las últimas semanas terroristas palestinos atacaron con disparos a las FDI y posiciones militares en el norte de Cisjordania. En las últimas dos semanas se llevaron a cabo al menos cinco ataques con disparos de este tipo, ninguno de los cuales causó heridos israelíes.
Un funcionario de seguridad israelí dijo que los sospechosos palestinos iban rumbo a cometer otro ataque, lo que requería su intervención. “Eran una bomba de relojería”, aseveró en condición de anonimato.
Por su parte, el ministerio de Salud de la Autoridad Palestina confirmó que tres palestinos fueron «asesinados» por soldados israelíes. Los medios palestinos también describieron la operación como un “asesinato”, diciendo que las FDI dispararon contra el automóvil de los tres hombres.
Los terroristas palestinos son Ashraf al-Mubsalit, Adham Mabrouk y Muhammad al-Dakhil. Estaban afiliados a las Brigadas de los Mártires de Al-Aqsa. Un portavoz confirmó que eran miembros de Fatah.
El ministro de Defensa, Benny Gantz, elogió a las fuerzas de seguridad israelíes por la operación, a la que llamó “una acción preventiva”.
Además, el ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la AP aseguró: “Este crimen es el último de una cadena de ejecuciones extrajudiciales de las fuerzas de ocupación”.
