El presidente del Comité Olímpico Internacional participará de la ceremonia por el aniversario de la Masacre de Munich que se realizará en Israel

Thomas Bach, el presidente del Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI), llegó a Israel el pasado lunes para participar de la ceremonia por el 50 aniversario la Masacre de Munich.

Según fuentes oficiales, el alemán visitará las oficinas del Comité Olímpico de Israel y se juntará con la familia de las víctimas.

Además, Bach recorrerá el Museo de la Experiencia Olímpica y se reunirá con los directivos del Comité Olímpico local.

Como parte del recorrido, el representante del COI irá al Museo Yad Vashem y a la iglesia del Santo Sepulcro previo a reunirse con el presidente de Israel, Isaac Herzog.

La ceremonia por la Masacre de Munich, a la que asistirá el presidente del Comité Olímpico Internacional, será el próximo miércoles desde las 16 en Tel Aviv, reportó el Diario One.

Durante los Juegos Olímpicos de Munich de 1972, un grupo terrorista árabe palestino tomó como rehenes y asesino a miembros de la delegación Israel en la villa olímpica.

El pasado 5 de septiembre se cumplió un nuevo aniversario de la Masacre, donde la Policía de Alemania Occidente realizó una operación de rescate fallida.

“El nivel de responsabilidad estatal de Alemania, tal como lo conocemos ahora, es mucho más extenso en comparación con los hechos que se conocieron en 1972-2020”, indicó oportunamente uno de los abogados que representa a los familiares de las víctimas.
