Un predicador musulmán que negó el Holocausto recibió una condena de 8658 años de cárcel

El número no es una broma: el predicador musulmán Adnan Oktar, quien en alguna ocasión negó el Holocausto, fue condenado a 8658 años de prisión.

Oktar condujo programas de televisión rodeado de mujeres con mucho maquillaje y poca ropa mientras predicaba el creacionismo y los valores conservadores.

El año pasado, el hombre de 66 años recibió una sentencia de 1.075 años por delitos que incluyen agresión sexual, abuso sexual de menores, fraude e intento de espionaje político y militar. Pero ese fallo lo anuló un tribunal superior.

Durante el nuevo juicio, el tribunal penal superior de Estambul lo condenó a 8.658 años de prisión por varios cargos.

Además, el tribunal también condenó a otros 10 sospechosos a 8.658 años de prisión cada uno, según la agencia de noticias Anadolu.

Oktar, por su parte, ganó notoriedad por sus programas en el canal A9. Líderes religiosos de Turquía lo denunciaron en varias oportunidades.

En 2018 lo detuvieron en Estambul, como parte de una investigación de la unidad de delitos financieros de la policía de la ciudad.

El predicador musulmán fue criticado en el pasado por publicar libros que presentan teorías de conspiración antisemitas y negación del Holocausto. De todas formas, en los últimos años renunció a ellas.

En un libro de 1986 que escribió, llamado «Judaísmo y masonería», afirmó que ambos grupos estaban haciendo uso de su poder «para erosionar los valores espirituales, religiosos y morales del pueblo turco y hacerlos como animales».

También en 1996 lo repudiaron por escribir el libro «La mentira del Holocausto». Básicamente afirma que «lo que se presenta como el Holocausto es la muerte de algunos judíos debido a la plaga del tifus durante la guerra y la hambruna hacia el final de la guerra provocada por la derrota de los alemanes.”
