La banda de rock estadounidense Red Hot Chili Peppers anunció la cancelación de su actuación en Israel programada para 2023.

En el anuncio afirmaron que en esta etapa todos los boletos ser cancelarán y todos los compradores serán acreditados por la empresa Ticketmaster.

«Apreciamos mucho la comprensión y la paciencia de la mejor audiencia del mundo. Esperamos estar en un futuro en Israel», expresó la banda que compuso, por ejemplo, «Californication».

Originalmente el espectáculo se iba a realizar el 23 de junio de 2020 en Yarkon Park, como parte del festival FUNKYARD, «un festival de música urbana nuevo y único que pretende convertirse en una tradición de un año».

Sin embargo, el espectáculo se pospuso hasta junio de 2021 debido a la pandemia de Covid-19. Pero luego se postergó una vez más.

Además, esta no es la primera vez que la banda cancela un concierto en el país.

En 2001 iba a tocar en Israel, pero solo dos semanas antes de la fecha cancelaron por la situación de seguridad en ese momento.

Igualmente, más de una década después, en 2012, cumplieron su promesa y actuaron en Yarkon Park.
