Comentarios antisemitas contra candidato a presidente de Francia: «¿Vas a tomar al tren a Auschwitz?»

Éric Zemmour, candidato a presidente de Francia en 2022, denunció a un sindicalista que habría «bromeado» con ir a Auschwitz.

Un ejecutivo del sindicato nacional de trabajadores de Francia, la CGT, fue detenido por la policía después de que supuestamente lanza insultos antisemitas a Zemmour, mientras los dos esperaban un tren hacia la ciudad de Limoges, en el suroeste de Francia.

Quien fuera candidato a presidente el año pasado dijo que su adversario, Frédéric Tronche, destacado activista de la CGT de Francia, le preguntó repetidamente si tomaría el tren hacia el campo de concentración de Auschwitz en la Polonia ocupada por los nazis.

Tronche, por su parte, sostuvo que le preguntó si tomaría el tren a Vichy, la sede del gobierno títere nazi de Francia durante la ocupación alemana de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

La policía detuvo a Tronche a las 16 hs, tras el intercambio con Zemmour, y lo liberaron esa misma noche.

Mientras tanto, el fiscal de Limoges abrió una investigación sobre si Tronche usó «insultos raciales y religiosos» en un lugar público.

Según Zemmour, Tronche dijo «¿Vas a tomar el tren a Auschwitz?» y bromeó sarcásticamente: “No sabía que este era el tren a Dachau”.

La CGT cuestionó airadamente la denuncia. Su secretaria general, Sophie Binet, publicó en Twitter que, como resultado de su comentario sobre Vichy, a Tronche lo arrestaron por antisemitismo.

También Thomas Portes, miembro del parlamento de izquierda, protestó que «mientras el racista Zemmour estaba en el mismo tren que él, [Tronche] le preguntó al conductor si el destino era ‘Vichy’. Por esto está bajo custodia y se le acusa de antisemitismo. ¡Lástima!».

Una búsqueda en las redes sociales de Tronche sugirió que sus comentarios a Zemmour pueden no haberse restringido a la referencia de Vichy. «Zemmour está en mi tren. Estoy comprobando si el tren va a Limoges, tengo miedo de que acabemos en Polonia», escribió.

A pesar de que se lo considerara uno de los principales candidatos desde el principio durante las elecciones presidenciales francesas, la campaña de Zemmour, periodista judío de extrema derecha, se desvaneció y obtuvo poco más del 7% de los votos.
