Maccabi Haifa superó por 3 a 1 a Beitar Jerusalén y se coronó con el título de la Supercopa 2022 de Israel. 

Los goles del equipo campeón fueron obra de Charon Sherry, David Dean y Enan Hala.

De esta manera el equipo verde logró el trofeo de la supercopa por quinta vez. Además, se quedó con el primer puesto por segunda vez en tres años. 

Por otro lado, Maccabi Haifa se impuso a Hamrun en condición de local por 2 a 1 y, luego del 4 a 0 en el partido de ida, selló su pase a la siguiente ronda de la etapa clasificatoria a la Champions League.

El equipo de Malta comenzó en ventaja gracias al gol de Joseph Mbong, pero Erik Shuranov y Frantzdy Pierrot le dieron la ventaja definitiva al Verde.

Tras la contundente victoria ante Hamrun en el resultado global (6-1), Maccabi Haifa selló su pase a la segunda ronda de clasificación.

Es para recordar que el Comité Disciplinario y de Ética de la UEFA aplicó una dura sanción contra Maccabi Haifa tras los incidentes en el partido de ida ante Hamrun.

La entidad resolvió que el equipo israelí no puedan llevar hinchas visitantes a los próximos dos partidos del torneo.
