El proceso de liberación fue el siguiente
Primer paso: Hamás transfiere a los secuestrados a la Cruz Roja.
Segunda etapa: la Cruz Roja transporta a los secuestrados a través del cruce de Rafah y en un convoy que incluye seguridad egipcia en su camino hacia el cruce de Nitsana. Un viaje de 30-40 minutos.
Tercer paso: los secuestrados llegan a Lady Chahal y abordarán helicópteros.
Cuarto paso: los secuestrados llegan a la recepción en las instalaciones para una parada provisional para recibir tratamiento inicial e información.
Quinto paso: los secuestrados llegan a los hospitales de Blinson y Schneider y allí se reunirán las familias.
