«London Lites», una empresa de publicidad de Londres, canceló una campaña que estaba llevando a cabo por los secuestrados israelíes.

La Embajada de Israel en el Reino Unido manifestó su repudio tras la suspensión de la acción.

A través de la red social X, expresó: «La Embajada de Israel en el Reino Unido, junto con el Foro de Rehenes y Familias Desaparecidas en Londres, llevó a cabo una campaña digital en Londres para mostrar las imágenes de aquellos secuestrados por Hamás y que aún se encuentran como rehenes en Gaza».

«Lamentamos que la empresa ‘London Lites’ haya cedido ante las amenazas de una minoría extrema en el Reino Unido, que intenta limitar con fuerza la libertad de expresión. La Embajada está considerando nuevas medidas contra la empresa. La Embajada seguirá creando conciencia sobre los 137 rehenes israelíes que permanecen como rehenes de Hamás en Gaza», agregó la entidad.

Además, dijo: «No debería haber nada controvertido en crear conciencia sobre los civiles inocentes que son rehenes de una organización terrorista. Esta es una causa humanitaria. Este incumplimiento de contrato favorece a los terroristas al ignorar activamente los crímenes de guerra de Hamás y también al sucumbir a la intimidación y las amenazas en Londres».

Por su parte, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Israel, Eli Cohen, afirmó: «La decisión de la empresa de publicidad de Londres de detener la campaña por la liberación de los secuestrados israelíes es una vergüenza y una capitulación ante los partidarios del terrorismo».

«Más de 240 israelíes y extranjeros, entre ellos bebés, niños, mujeres y ancianos, fueron secuestrados por terroristas de Hamás que cometen crímenes de odio y crímenes contra la humanidad. ¡El intento de silenciar nuestro llamado a la liberación de los secuestrados no tendrá éxito! Seguiremos actuando en todos los sentidos hasta que todos y cada uno de los secuestrados sean devueltos a sus familias», concluyó.
