El partido político argentino Republicanos Unidos (RU) solicitó este domingo al Gobierno que traslade la embajada argentina en Israel desde Tel Aviv a Jerusalén y remarcó que ello «contribuye a afianzar la paz mundial y a respetar la dignidad del hermano pueblo» de ese país.
«Estimamos que nuestra propuesta contribuye a afianzar la paz mundial y a respetar la dignidad del hermano pueblo de Israel», dijo la nota que fue presentada durante la jornada y cuya propuesta fue impulsada por el legislador porteño Yamil Santoro, uno de los líderes de RU.
El bloque liberal volvió a solicitarle a la Cancillería el traslado de la embajada argentina en Israel desde Tel Aviv hacia Jerusalén, propuesta que ya había sido presentada durante los gobiernos de Mauricio Macri y Alberto Fernández, según indicó el comunicado.
«Con el afán de que la Argentina recupere su liderazgo regional en materia de Derechos Humanos, consideramos necesario brindarle una señal de apoyo al Estado de Israel, la única democracia liberal en Medio Oriente que respeta las libertades individuales, las creencias y los derechos de todos sus habitantes, profesen o no la religión judía, además de ser un país pionero en materia de igualdad entre el hombre y la mujer y el único en la región que garantiza plenamente derechos civiles a la población LGBT», remarcaron desde el espacio político.
En este sentido, Republicanos Unidos pidió que el país adopte «decisiones unívocas» que permitan reflejar su «compromiso con el reconocimiento del Estado de Israel, a vivir en paz con sus vecinos, dentro de fronteras seguras e internacionalmente reconocidas«.
Además, destacó las declaraciones públicas que hizo durante la campaña el presidente Javier Milei acerca de trasladar a la embajada argentina a Jerusalén ydeseó que esa iniciativa «contribuya a estabilizar la situación en una región que vive en una compleja dinámica y permita avanzar hacia un diálogo fructífero que habilite zanjar las negociaciones pendientes».
