La unidad encargada de recopilar información y botín técnico de la Dirección de Inteligencia Militar de las FDI, conocida como Amshat por su acrónimo en hebreo, investigó minuciosamente los materiales traídos de vuelta a Israel y extrajo información de inteligencia crucial.
Según declaraciones de las FDI, “La unidad analiza y concluye significados operativos, lo que mejora la actividad de las fuerzas que combaten en la Franja de Gaza”.

Uno de los documentos más importantes descubiertos fue un mapa encontrado en la casa de un comandante de Hamás en Beit Hanoun, que revelaba la ubicación de túneles utilizados por el grupo terrorista.
La unidad Amshat analizó este mapa y estableció una conexión, lo que permitió la localización y destrucción de varios pozos de túneles por parte de las tropas en el terreno.
Además, otro mapa que indicaba la ubicación de un túnel, hallado en la vivienda de un ayudante del comandante del batallón Shejaiya de Hamás, Wissam Farhat, también fue llevado a la unidad. La unidad 9900 de la Dirección de Inteligencia cartografió el lugar y las fuerzas de seguridad procedieron a destruir el pozo rápidamente.
También, un tercer documento proporcionó información sobre la ubicación de un alijo de explosivos en Beit Hanoun, que fue destruido por las tropas después de que la unidad lo analizara.
