Si en mi artículo en homenaje al aniversario del atentado de Amia en Buenos Aires comenté la segunda muerte que representa, para las víctimas, la impunidad de sus verdugos, hoy se conmemora otro atentado que también perpetró un segundo asesinato a decenas de personas: la negación de su condición de víctimas.
No hay mayor impunidad del crimen que la negación del delito. La invisibilidad de las víctimas. Y eso pasó hace 26 años, en el vuelo 901 de Alas Chiricanas de Ciudad Colón a Ciudad de Panamá, que explotó en el aire y mató a los 21 pasajeros, entre ellos, 12 empresarios judíos.
Durante décadas se consideraron diversas hipótesis. Desde el accidente hasta vinculaciones con el narco colombiano. Pasando por la posibilidad del atentado, sin autoría precisa. Asi durante todo este largo periodo, las víctimas no fueron más que un daño colateral en un episodio oscuro e indescifrable.
No existieron, no hubo homenajes, reclamos ni juicios. Y el atentado que se produjo en Panamá, un día después del sufrido en Buenos Aires, no tuvo quien le escribiera.

Recuerdo un viaje a Panamá. hace veinte años. Ahí conocí a la esposa de una de la víctimas, y al hablar de la tragedia nadie sabía qué había pasado. Sencillamente, habían muerto.

Fue en el 2018, en un viaje del presidente Varela a Israel, cuando Netanyahu le facilitó la información recopilada por la inteligencia israelí: la bomba en el vuelo 901 había sido obra de Hezbollah y estaba directamente relacionada con los dos otros atentados del grupo terrorista en Latinoamérica, la bomba de la embajada en Israel y el brutal atentado en la Amia en Buenos Aires. En los tres casos, murieron todo tipo de personas, pero el objetivo primordial era la comunidad judía. Fue así como Panamá sufrió el atentado más sangriento de su historia, que no solo sigue impune, sino que durante décadas ni tan solo ha existido. Este artículo es un humilde aporte a la visibilidad de una tragedia que se fraguó en el seno de una ideología totalitaria, alimentada por el odio y el fanatismo.
A partir de ahora, la pregunta es obligada: ¿continuará la impunidad de los asesinos o se reabrirá la causa con todas sus consecuencias? Mientras tanto, Hizbulah crece en influencia, poder y dinero en el mismo continente que regó con sangre inocente, y su impunidad es total. Es la tercera muerte de las víctimas: la de una justicia amordazada e inútil que se acomoda en la carcajada de los verdugos. Tres atentados, una única organización terrorista, el mismo dolor roto, la misma burla del mal. No a la impunidad. No al olvido.
