Las nuevas noticias para los fanáticos de «Shtisel» indican que no se confirma que haya una cuarta temporada de la súper exitosa serie israelí, pero -según arriesgó una de las jefas de la productora del programa- sí podrían volver a la pantalla algunos de los miembros de la famosa familia ultra-ortodoxa de Jerusalén
«No quiero romperle el corazón a nadie, pero creo que esa historia ya está contada. No se debe olvidar que el elenco estuvo junto durante mucho tiempo, casi una década», expresó Danna Stern, directora gerente de Yes Studios.

Entrevistada por la revista estadounidense Deadline, Stern agregó: «creo que obtuvimos todas las historias que pudimos sin volvernos demasiado dramáticos». «Siento que lo hemos llevado al límite, pero lo hicimos bien».

Cuando se le preguntó por una eventual continuación de la serie, una de las de mayor suceso en la plataforma de Netflix, la ejecutiva de la productora israelí indicó que «no habrá una cuarta temporada en esta capacidad», es decir, como se conoce hasta ahora el programa.

«Pero, obviamente, todavía hay un apetito por esa familia«, reconoció Stern.

«Lo estamos resolviendo, creo que habrá algo«. «Probablemente no sea un ‘Shtisel’ cuatro».

En la productora «amamos la historia, amamos a los creadores», remarcó.

Deadline le preguntó a Stern si podría tratarse de un «spin-off», el término televisivo con el que se conoce a las secuelas de programas en los que, en general, actúa parte del elenco del show original.

«Sus palabras, no las mías», respondió la ejecutiva. De esta manera evitó contestar de forma directa la pregunta del reportero.

A principios de este año existían rumores sobre una eventual cuarta temporada de la serie. Esto provocó la ilusión de los miles de seguidores de las peripecias y dramas de la familia encabezada por Shulem y Akiva Shtisel.

Incluso varios medios especializados especularon con las chances de los nuevos capítulos, en especial a la luz del impacto de la tercera temporada. La misma se estrenó en diciembre del 2019 en Israel y en marzo del año pasado en el resto del mundo.

Ahora, las declaraciones de Stern ponen el futuro de la serie entre signos de interrogación, aunque con las puertas abiertas a una secuela con, al menos, algunos de los personajes de la familia.
