La redada del viernes en Río de Janeiro fue parte de un operativo titulado “Shalom” de la policía federal contra Tupirani da Hora Lores. Este último, encabeza la Iglesia de Jesucristo de la Generación Pentecostal, informó Globo. La policía confiscó literatura allí.

El año pasado, da Hora Lores fue filmado predicando y orando con sus feligreses, diciendo: «Masacra a los judíos, Dios. Golpéalos con tu espada, porque han dejado a Dios, han dejado las naciones». Se escucha a sus feligreses repitiendo apasionadamente sus palabras.

“Se las ingeniaron, se fueron con prostitutas, y cuando les dijeron que se arrepintieran dijeron que lo harían pero mintieron”, dijo el pastor, posiblemente en referencia a las conversiones forzadas al cristianismo durante la Inquisición.

«Dios, lo que has hecho en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, debes hacerlo de nuevo, esto es lo que te pedimos en nuestras oraciones. ¡Justicia, justicia, justicia!», gritó da Hora Lores gritó a su iglesia, una pequeña y radical congregación evangélica.

Raniery Cavalcanti, abogado de Sinagoga Sem Fronteiras, una red de comunidades judías en Brasil, presentó una denuncia por incitación contra da Hora Lores. La Federación Judía de Río de Janeiro y el paraguas nacional judío CONIB también emprendieron acciones legales contra da Hora Lores.

El pastor «debería haber sido detenido», dijo el rabino Gilberto Ventura, fundador de Sinagoga Sem Fronteiras, con sede en Sao Paulo, a la Agencia Telegráfica Judía. «Pero el hecho de que la policía allanara su iglesia ya es un gran avance».
