Grupos judíos han presentado una denuncia penal contra un político brasileño por expresar un antiguo tropo de libelo de sangre antisemita en una publicación de las redes sociales.

“Baal, deidad satánica, cananeos y judíos sacrificaron niños para recibir su simpatía. Hoy, la historia se repite”, publicó Roberto Jefferson en Instagram el viernes.

Jefferson, un político fervientemente cristiano, ha liderado el Partido Laborista Brasileño, o PTB, como se lo conoce en Brasil, desde 2003 informó Enlace Judío. En el pasado un partido obrero de izquierda, el PTB ahora es un firme partidario del presidente de derecha Jair Bolsonaro. Tiene 12 escaños de los 513 de la Cámara de Diputados, la cámara baja de Brasil.

La Confederación Israelita Brasileña calificó la publicación de Jefferson de “una de las formas más viles” de atacar a los judíos.

“Se trata de un delito de racismo con pena agravada por haber sido cometido a través de una red social”, escribió la Confederación en un comunicado el sábado. “Las capturas de pantalla y los comentarios de los seguidores, que también se pueden caracterizar como delito, se han conservado para la investigación criminal”.

Instagram eliminó la publicación de Jefferson. En Twitter, calificó la nota de la organización judía de “una payasada”.
