La DAIA, representante política de la comunidad judía, repudió la utilización del término «La Gestapo Argentina», por parte del periodista Javier Lanari, por considerar una comparación inapropiada con la Shoá. A su vez también le responde al periodista Jorge Rial, reiterando que es una institución apartidaria que no se encuentra al servicio de ningún político. El  conductor televisivo publicó en twitter preguntándose si la DAIA ya sacó comunicado por #GestapoArgentina o solo es una oficina manejada por el Macrismo y Waldo Wolff. El diputado también respondió

El Hashtag #LagestapoArgentina se viralizó en las redes sociales a raíz de la publicación de un sitio web que difundió vínculos, datos personales y fotos de gente y entidades identificadas por los autores como parte de esa ideología.

La DAIA repudia la utilización, por parte del periodista Javier Lanari, el hashtag #LagestapoArgentina para criticar un artículo publicado en un medio masivo de comunicación.

La DAIA vuelve a solicitar, sobre todo a figuras públicas y a periodistas, evitar recurrir en la utilización de comparaciones inapropiadas que incurran en el riesgo de una banalización de la Shoá y de sus perpetradores.

Asimismo, la entidad reitera que es una institución apartidaria que no se encuentra al servicio de ningún político, tal como lo señala el periodista Jorge Ríal, estigmatizando a la DAIA. La diversidad de la institución se refleja en la composición plural de su Consejo Directivo y en su diario accionar.

Nada desvíará a la DAIA de su misión principal de luchar contra el antisemitismo y todo mensaje de odio.
