Desconocidos pintaron esvásticas en paredes del Nuevo Cementerio Judío de Frankfurt y en el de Gelsenkirchen en Alemania.

Según la policía el lunes, inicialmente no estaba claro cuándo ocurrió el acto. Un testigo descubrió e informó sobre los símbolos prohibidos el domingo. La policía buscaba testigos del incidente. 
La seguridad del estado se hizo cargo de la investigación.
En la sala de duelo de un cementerio judío en Gelsenkirchen, extraños dañaron un panel.
Tal y como anunció la policía el jueves, arrojaron pequeñas piedras contra la ventana, de modo que astillas de vidrio cayeron al interior del edificio. Al principio, no estaba claro cuándo sucedió exactamente esto.

El Departamento de Seguridad del Estado de la Policía Criminal, responsable de los delitos de motivación política, se ha hecho cargo de la investigación. Los investigadores asumen que arrojarons las piedras entre el miércoles de la semana pasada y el miércoles de esta semana.

Esto sucedió algunos días después de la profanación antisemita de un arca de la Torá dentro de la sala de oración judía del aeropuerto internacional de Frankfurt.

La policía de Frankfurt dijo que la  esvástica fue pintada en el armario dentro de la sala de oración, que se encuentra en la zona de tránsito del aeropuerto.

La esvástica fue descubierta hace varios días, pero no estaba claro cuánto tiempo llevaba allí porque la sala de oración llevaba un tiempo cerrada por la pandemia de coronavirus, informó la agencia de noticias alemana dpa.

Los pergaminos escritos que contienen la Torá, los cinco primeros libros de la Biblia, se guardan en armarios conocidos como arcas y se sacan y leen durante los servicios judíos.
