Imágenes difundidas por la organización terrorista Hamás muestran el momento en el que palestinos del otro lado de la frontera con Gaza hieren al policía de frontera israelí, Barel Shmueli de 21 años.

El oficial de la policía fronteriza israelí resultó gravemente herido junto con decenas de palestinos el sábado por la noche durante los disturbios a lo largo de la valla fronteriza. Sucedió a pesar de que se llegó a un acuerdo para que los fondos humanitarios se transfieran a los habitantes de Gaza necesitados.
 
El oficial de la policía fronteriza, que recibió un disparo en la parte norte de la Franja, fue trasladado en helicóptero al hospital Soroka en Beersheba para recibir tratamiento médico. Así lo informó la policía de Israel en un comunicado.
Durante los disturbios, se filmó a una docena de palestinos a lo largo de la valla fronteriza. Se vio a uno tratando de arrebatarle el arma a los soldados. Aunque logró agarrar el cañón de una de las armas, logró apartarlo. 
 
En otro video, se ve a palestinos arrojando objetos, golpeando el cañón del arma. Luego se ve a un alborotador acercándose a la posición de disparo y disparando una pistola en él.

Las FDI abrieron una investigación sobre las circunstancias que rodearon el incidente.
 
El jefe de policía Kobi Shabtai dijo que «los incidentes en la frontera de Gaza nos recuerdan los grandes desafíos que enfrentan la policía fronteriza y las tropas de las FDI». 
 
«No aflojaremos nuestro control y continuaremos actuando con firmeza. Lo haremos con todas nuestras fuerzas contra aquellos que quieren dañarnos a nosotros y a la seguridad de los ciudadanos de Israel para quienes trabajamos».
 
«En mi nombre, en el de la policía de Israel y los combatientes de la policía fronteriza, deseo una pronta recuperación al sargento B. Es un combatiente de la policía fronteriza que resultó gravemente herido por disparos en la frontera de Gaza esta noche».
 
El Ministerio de Salud de Gaza informó que más de 41 palestinos, incluidos 10 niños, resultaron heridos durante las manifestaciones de cientos de alborotadores a lo largo de la valla perimetral con Israel.

Solo fui soldado durante mi servicio militar, y eso fue hace 45 años… pero ¿a quien se le ocurre estar detras de una ventanita, mirando con un fusil asomando como pene por la bragueta en una actitud no tenía utilidad alguna? ¿¿Acaso ese soldado esperaba disuadir, ahuyentar o reprimir a alguien metiendo su fusil por un agujerito en una frontera repleta de criminales palestinos deseosos de matar un judio??
    Era mas que obvio que algo asi podía suceder… y sucedió !!
