En varios suburbios de Chicago se descubrieron volantes antisemitas en los que se achaca la invasión de Rusia a Ucrania a una conspiración judía.
Los volantes fueron condenados por el presidente del pueblo de Glenview, Mike Jenny, en la reunión de la junta directiva del pueblo, informó el Journal & Topics.
La policía de Glenview dijo que los volantes también se encontraron en las ciudades cercanas de Niles y Park Ridge. Confirmaron que se había abierto una investigación, informó Israel Noticias.
“Glenview es una comunidad comprometida con la tolerancia y la inclusión de todos”, dijo Jenny al medio de comunicación. “El odio dirigido a cualquier grupo basado en la raza, la religión, el color, la orientación sexual [o] la etnia [es] una afrenta a esos valores y no son bienvenidos aquí”, agregó.
El alcalde de Niles también denunció la literatura de odio. El alcalde George Alpogianis dijo en un comunicado que “el pueblo de Niles se opone a toda forma de odio”. Añadió que la policía de Niles estaba investigando el incidente.
Al parecer, los folletos se encontraron en bolsas de plástico cargadas con judías secas o arroz. Esto es de forma similar a los casos anteriores de folletos antisemitas encontrados en el último año en todo Estados Unidos.

Los panfletos también afirmaban que “todos los aspectos de la administración Biden son judíos”.
El subjefe de policía de Niles, Nick Zakula, dijo que su departamento de policía estaba consultando con otros departamentos de las ciudades vecinas que también estaban investigando los panfletos.
