Alrededor de 50 creadores, animadores y productores que han trabajado en el personaje de Batman de DC Comics, firmaron una petición para liberar a la familia Bibas del cautiverio de Hamás durante 193 días, informó Enlace Judío.
Según un reporte del Canal 12, la petición fue enviada el 12 de abril a los gobiernos de Catar y Egipto a través de sus embajadores en Estados Unidos, donde pidieron presionar a Hamás y a la Yihad Islámica Palestina para su liberación inmediata.
La iniciativa del historiador estadounidense Dr. Raphael Madoff, director del Instituto de Investigación del Holocausto David Wyman en Washington, DC. señala que los artistas se sintieron conmovidos por la admiración de Ariel Bibas, de cuatro años, hacia el superhéroe de Gotham.
Shiri Bibas, con sus dos pequeños, Ariel y Kfir que cumplió un año en cautiverio, fueron secuestrados el 7 de octubre en el Kibutz Nir Oz.Yarden, el padre, fue secuestrado por separado y llevado a Gaza.
Una de las fotografías de la familia, que ha circulado desde el secuestro los muestra en casa con pijamas de Batman.
“Como miembros de la comunidad de escritores y creadores de Batman, nos comunicamos con ustedes en relación con el niño que fue secuestrado por terroristas y retenido en Gaza desde el 7 de octubre”, se lee en la petición. “Nos conmovieron las muchas historias sobre el amor de Ariel por la icónica figura del superhéroe, que se convirtió en un símbolo de esperanza y justicia para tantas personas. Imploramos a sus gobiernos que ejerzan todos los niveles posibles de presión sobre Hamás y la Yihad Islámica Palestina para que liberen de inmediato a la familia Bibas y a todos los rehenes israelíes del cautiverio”.
Entre los firmantes se encuentran Mike Carlin, jefe de la división de animación de DC Comics, Paul Levitz, expresidente de la compañía y Sander Schwartz, presidente del departamento de animación de Warner Bros Studios.
