El festejo de Lag Baomer de Jabad Argentina reunió a 8500 asistentes en La Rural en una inolvidable tarde de juegos, música y diversión para toda la familia. Con 130 juegos, 4 shows, el Acto Central en el que se encendió la tradicional fogata, la participación de la Banda de Relaciones Institucionales de la Armada Argentina, la música de Tiembla el Mohel, patio de comidas y sorpresas, la comunidad judía celebró la unión de Am Israel y el orgullo de la tradición y la identidad hebrea.
El domingo 26 de mayo desde las 12 y hasta las 18 horas, el Pabellón Ocre de La Rural fue una enorme fiesta: grandes juegos mecánicos, juegos electrónicos, inflables, kermes y regalos. Antes de unirse a este evento en La Rural, 2300 personas participaron del importante Desfile de Lag Baomer en la vía pública, desde Av. del Libertador y Cavia hasta el ingreso al predio por Av. Sarmiento, visibilizando el orgullo por la educación judía y la tradición milenaria. La marcha recorrió las calles con un camión con maquetas de las campañas del Rebe, grupos escolares, la banda infantil de Tzivot Hashem y la Banda de la Armada Argentina.
“La Torá es para los iehudim como el agua para los peces”, afirmó el Rabino Tzvi Grunblatt, Director General de Jabad Argentina, en el Acto Central del encuentro. Y remarcó lo fundamental del estudio y la alegría: “Cada chico tiene que tomar el ejemplo de Rabí Shimón bar Iojai; cada minuto libre tomar un libro sobre Torá, y hacerlo con alegría.” También señaló la importancia de la unión de Am Israel, uno de los ejes de la convocatoria: “Shevet ajim gam iajad (que los hermanos estén juntos en armonía) trae bendición”, e invitó a los presentes a aumentar en mitzvot en mérito de la inmediata liberación de los secuestrados en Gaza y la protección de nuestros jaialim.

En el acto, alumnos de jardín y primaria subieron al escenario a recitar los 12 Psukim. Además, se leyó el Salmo 123 por la liberación de los secuestrados y la seguridad de todo Am Israel. Eyal Sela, Embajador de Israel, compartió palabras de apoyo al encuentro y se sumó al pedido de liberación de los secuestrados. También estuvieron presentes el Dr. Miguel Licht, Presidente del Tribunal Fiscal de la Nación, y María del Pilar Bosca, Directora General de Cultos del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, entre otras importantes autoridades y líderes comunitarios que participaron del encendido de la fogata.
El festejo, cuya consigna fue Celebrando el judaísmo con fortaleza y fe, fue organizado por el equipo del Rabino Levi Silbestein y Etti Silberstein bajo la dirección del Rabino Tzvi Grunblatt. Contó con la colaboración de voluntarios de Tiferet Zekeinim, la escuela Wolfsohn y los alumnos de la Yeshivá de Jabad.
