Una familia judía fue expulsada del avión por una aerolínea estadounidense cuando observaron que su hija de 2 años no tenía puesto el barbijo.

Spirit Airlines afirmó que seguía las reglas impuestas por el gobierno federal, que requieren que los pasajeros mayores de dos años usen máscaras en todo momento, excepto cuando comen, beben o toman medicamentos.

Los videos muestran a la familia, cuyo padre usa kipá, con tapabocas excepto a la niña, que parecía estar comiendo.

Todos los pasajeros debieron bajar, ya que según Spirit es un protocolo estándar, y luego volvieron a abordarlo. Tras algunas gestiones e insistencias, la familia judía en cuestión también pudo retomar a su lugar.

El medio Yeshiva World News, por su parte, informó que la aerolínea prohibió a una pareja ortodoxa de Florida en futuros vuelos tres semanas después de que volaran con la aerolínea desde Nueva York. La pareja aseguró que usaron máscaras durante todo el vuelo y no tuvieron altercados a bordo.

Frontier Airlines aterrizó en una situación similar en marzo por expulsar a una familia ultraortodoxa de un vuelo por cumplir con la máscara.

La familia afirmó que todos llevaban máscaras, excepto un bebé de 18 meses, y la Liga Antidifamación pidió que se investigara el incidente.

Rl virus no discrimina. Por culpa de personas egoistas como esta gente, yo llevo un anio encerrada en mi casa y sin poder viajar para ver a mis padres. Si se hubieran quedado todos en casa, la pandemia se habria terminado Mi nena no tolera la mascara entonces no viajo. Punto. Shame of you !
