El objetivo de este programa es detectar de manera temprana la involución del cuadro clínico y recomendar en ese preciso instante la hospitalización del paciente.
A cada paciente ingresado en este programa se le enviará, de ser necesario, un kit de control y se le asignará un voluntario que realizará el seguimiento diario de cada paciente en particular.

En sus zonas activas provee una rápida y efectiva primera respuesta en emergencias médicas o traumáticas. De esta forma incrementa las expectativas de vida y facilita una óptima recuperación del paciente.
A su vez, coordina los estudios y entrenamientos y provee el equipamiento médico y de comunicaciones. También realiza toda la logística para poder llevar adelante este gran proyecto de manera altruista.
Hatzalah está activa las 24hs. los 7 días de la semana, los 365 días del año, incluso Shabat y Iom Tov.
El servicio que brinda Hatzalah es completamente gratuito, ya que todas sus actividades son cubiertas exclusivamente por contribuciones voluntarias. Como política de la institución los paramédicos no reciben donativos al momento de atender la emergencia.
