El Ministerio de Salud anunció que todos los viajeros, incluidos vacunados y recuperados del Covid, deberán aislarse hasta por 24 horas al llegar a a Israel.
Mientras tanto, aquellos que regresen de 16 países que se considere que tienen altas tasas de infección deberán aislarse completamente durante 14 días, o 10 días con dos pruebas negativas.
Los países considerados con altas tasas de contagio al viernes son: Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Seychelles, Ecuador, Etiopía, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Kirguistán y Túnez.
Aquellos viajeros que regresen a Israel de todos los demás países también deberán aislarse, pero solo durante 24 horas. O hasta que reciban un resultado negativo de la prueba, que realizarían al aterrizar.
Se espera que los resultados de las pruebas se entreguen dentro de las 24 horas, para garantizar que los retornados de países que no son de alto riesgo, pero están infectados con COVID-19, no infecten a otros.

Los israelíes que ingresen al país después de visitar cualquiera de esos países pueden enfrentar una multa de 1500 dólares. Y también deberán ingresar en cuarentena hasta recibir una prueba negativa válida.
Las nuevas restricciones para los repatriados entrarán en vigencia a partir del viernes 16 de julio y son válidas hasta el 25 de julio.
